Rap® Haku – haku is Finnish for looking – looking for trouble and ready to fight with the big mamas. X-Rap® Haku is built tough for big fish and features Rapala's® patented 3R System Titan Release Rig with VMC® Coastal Black hooks. When it's ready to go, the hooks are positioned like a regular sliding jerkbait, and the rig rests in the bait's belly groove, out of the way and protected from weeds and snags and other obstacles. When the hook is set, the hook rig separates from the body so that direct contact with the fish is possible and the fish has no chance of using the bait as leverage to slit it. The device also makes it easier for the angler to remove the hook since the body of the bait is out of the way. X-Rap® Haku can be used for various presentations and is super easy to use. The sliding movement can be achieved either by twitching the rod or by stopping & Go-Retrieve can be generated. A twitch of the rod causes a faster sideways turn, while a stop & Go-Retrieve allows for a longer gliding movement. A quick retrieve between stops mimics fleeing prey fish. 3R - Rapala® Release Rig - System is built into the bait and stays out of the way when in use. When the hook is set, the clip on the tail releases the bait from the body, allowing direct contact with the fish and preventing the fish from using the bait as leverage to free itself. The durable rig is made from 100 lbs titanium wire and features a solid connecting ring, heavy-duty split rings and premium VMC® Coastal Black arch treble hooks.
