The firesteel is made with high-quality bio-plastic components, making it environmentally friendly. Its functionality remains intact even in extreme altitudes and adverse conditions. With approximately 3,000 ignitions, the firesteel is extremely durable. The sparks generated are around 2900° hot and quickly ignite dry material. Another advantage is its airplane compatibility, allowing it to be easily carried in airplane luggage.
The packaging is plastic-free and designed with environmental consciousness. The firesteel is manufactured in Sweden, a country with extensive experience in producing high-quality outdoor equipment.
The firesteel is available in two versions: Army and Scout. The Army version is larger than the Scout version, making it more durable. The Army version allows for more ignitions, while both firestarters are otherwise identical.
Using the firesteel is incredibly simple. Scrape off the protective coating of the new firestick using the included striker or the back of the blade. Then, pull the striker (pay attention to the "top" marking) or the back of the blade firmly down along the firestick. The sparks produced can be easily used to ignite stoves, grills, paper, dry grass, or other tinder quickly and easily.
