A lot of the performance advantages of Aero Pro come from the technology used. All 4 models are constructed from Spiral X Core and Hi-Power X carbon, which is Shimano's very best carbon combination, plus Nanopitch technology. Add to this a CI4+ reel seat and the latest Fuji K-Type SiC guides and the result is arguably the lightest feeder rods ever produced. But being the lightest isn't everything, especially with feeder rods. Casting performance is even more crucial. With Aero Pro, the combination of exclusive carbon technology reduces blank twist when under pressure and minimises the natural spine most rods have.
