With a gear ratio of 6.2:1, all but the smallest 14 size retrieves well over 1 metre of line per turn. Using large Cross Carbon Drag washers, adjusted by the Star Drag, the Torium packs a minimum of 11kg of drag into its tiny frame, making it a match for all but the very largest pelagic fish.
